The Organisation BARCHARA PROGRESSIVE CULTURAL FORUM was formed in the year 1996 by a group of enlightened and energetic youth. The name BPC. Forum means an organization to serve rural hamlets or village (Pally) peoples organization i,e.‘samity’. The organization was registered under the West Bengal Society Registration Act-1961,Rg-no.- S/1L/42258 of 2006-07,by a group of enlightened and energetic youth. The registered office is at village + P.o.- Barchara, PS.- Sabang, Dist.- Paschim Medinipur, only 130 kms, away from city of Kolkata. But due to poor communication, the area remained under development. In spite of that our organization is toiling hard to build the capacity of the community so that they can access the required services for their development. To work with such motive, organization certainly requires a functional body i,e the governing body formed with all sections local people so that they can represent various parts of the areas, various sections of the society, being freed from caste, sex, and political biasness.
